A prominent attorney’s office located in a commercial complex was experiencing widespread roof leaks, threatening daily operations and sensitive documents. The roof, a Hot Tar and Gravel Ballast system, was over 30 years old and well beyond its effective lifespan. The client needed urgent repairs, along with a more modern and energy-efficient roofing solution. They selected Conklin’s Rapid Roof® III Coating System for its durability, performance, and energy-saving properties.
Our Approach
Our team mobilized quickly and conducted a comprehensive site assessment. We confirmed that the existing roofing layers were deteriorated and unsuitable for repair alone. We developed a full replacement strategy utilizing the Rapid Roof® III system to ensure long-term protection and value. We began by removing the existing gravel and top layers, exposing the original hot tar-modified plies. After identifying the sources of the leaks, we applied the Rapid Roof® III Base Coat, embedded SpunFlex® Polyester Reinforcement Fabric into the base coat for added strength, and completed the system with a seamless layer of Rapid Roof® III Top Coat in reflective white.
