At Done Right Roofing and Exteriors, we donโt just handle roofsโwe help homeowners transform their properties into spaces that look better, work better, and last longer. In one of our recent residential projects, the client came to us with a big vision: upgrade the entire exterior of their home. They wanted better energy efficiency, stronger protection from the elements, and a cleaner, more modern look that they could be proud of. The Challenge The client wanted to completely change the face of their home. That meant a full roof replacement, new windows, redoing the front brick with a stone veneer accent, a new paint job, and installing fencing to complete the look and security of the property. On top of that, they needed everything to work together visually and functionallyโand be built to last. Our Approach We mapped out the project in stages, making sure each part of the job flowed into the next without delay. Over the course of about three weeks, we completed: A full roof replacement, using an Owenโs Corning TruDefinitionยฎ Duration STORM Class 4 Impact-Resistant Shingles featuring patented WeatherGuardยฎ Technology. The integrated polymeric backing material of the Weather Guardยฎ Technology allows Duration STORMยฎ Shingles to meet one of the industry’s highest ratings for impact resistance, UL 2218, Class 41. These shingles also feature SureNailยฎ Technology for high-performance durability and outstanding gripping power. New windows throughout the home with Windows by Anderson 100 Series Windows made with composite material known as Fibrexยฎ to help cut down on energy bills keeping the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter A new stone veneer and brick front, with paint to match and pull it all together A retaining wall to improve the shape and structure of the front yard A mix of chain link fencing in the front and wood fencing along the side and back Why These Materials? We donโt expect homeowners to know all the construction terms, so hereโs what you need to know: We used an Owenโs Corning TruDefinitionยฎ Duration STORM Class 4 Impact-Resistant Shingles featuring patented WeatherGuardยฎ Technology for the roof. Thatโs a fancy way of saying itโs one of the toughest shingles on the market. Itโs tested to hold up better against hail and flying debris, which means less chance of damage during storms and longer life for your roof. For our area, where weather can hit hard, this is a smart investment. It can even qualify some homeowners for discounts on their insurance. The windows we installed were Windows by Anderson 100 Series Windows made with composite material known as Fibrexยฎ. They arenโt just about looksโtheyโre energy-efficient. With a Storm Window in between, they keep heat in during the winter and keep the house cool during the summer. Youโll notice the difference on your energy bill and in how comfortable your home feels day to day. The paint we used was Sherwin Williams Durationยฎ Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint. Duration Premium Exterior Coating is formulated with PermaLastยฎ technology and infused with advanced acrylic co-polymers for long-lasting performance. Duration is self-priming and provides a mildew-resistance coating and allows you to achieve stunning exterior results that stand the test of time. The stone veneer on the front of the home added a custom, upscale touch. Achieving a natural stone panel look at a more affordable price. And offering spectacular stone beauty. Plus, as the seasons change, they do not have to be maintained because the durable and resilient polyurethane material provides excellent resistance to extreme weather conditions, moisture, and pestsโjust like real stone panels. We worked with the client to pick a color and texture that matched the new roof and paint, creating a modern, cohesive look from the street. The retaining wall wasnโt just decorativeโit helped support the slope in the front yard and gave the entrance more structure and character. For fencing, we installed chain link in the front for visibility and openness, and cedar wood on the sides and back for privacy. It gave the home security without making it feel closed off. We believe that a beautiful home should also be a smart, solid, and practical home. The Result When we were done, the home looked brand new. But more importantly, it worked betterโbetter insulation, stronger protection, and way less upkeep in the future. The client was thrilled with the results. They felt like they had a completely different homeโone that finally matched their style and gave them the performance they needed year-round. At Done Right Roofing and Exteriors Inc, one of our specialties is knowing how to match great design with long-lasting functionality. Itโs not just about making a home look good on the outsideโitโs about making it work better from the inside out. Anyone can slap on new siding or paint, but if the materials donโt hold up or help the home perform, youโre back to square one in a couple of years.Thatโs why we only use materials that offer both visual appeal and real-world benefitsโlike energy savings, better moisture control, storm resistance, and less maintenance. Because when you invest in your homeโs exterior, youโre not just upgrading for looksโyouโre improving your comfort, efficiency, and long-term property value. We believe that a beautiful home should also be a smart, solid, and practical home. And thatโs exactly what we delivered here.
